What this is
Blue Springs Local is a community bulletin board with a map. It lets neighbors in Blue Springs, Missouri post things they need picked up, and lets other neighbors volunteer to go get them. That's the whole service: we provide the website that connects you. Think of it like a neighborhood phone tree or a corkboard at the coffee shop — with live delivery tracking bolted on.
What this is not
This is not a delivery company. We don't employ drivers, we don't dispatch anyone, we don't set or collect delivery fees, and we never handle your money. Drivers are independent neighbors choosing to help — they are not our employees, contractors, or agents. When a neighbor delivers your order, that arrangement is entirely between the two of you.
Money
Customers pay actual store prices for their items and pay the delivery fee they offered directly to the driver — Venmo, Cash App, or cash. 100% of the fee goes to the driver; the platform takes nothing and processes nothing. When you place an order, the fee you enter is a commitment to your neighbor: please honor it. Using the platform is free during the community trial.
For drivers
You drive your own vehicle, on your own schedule, claiming only the deliveries you choose. You are responsible for driving legally and safely. Deliveries are made under your own auto insurance, and many personal policies exclude delivery use — check your policy before driving. Anything you earn is yours to handle like any other personal income. Your live location is shared only while a delivery is active and is deleted when it ends.
For customers
You're responsible for what you ask for. Legal, everyday items only: no alcohol, no tobacco or vape products, no weapons, no age-restricted goods, and prescription pickups only for prescriptions in your own name. Reimburse your driver for what they paid at the store (agree on the method before they shop — receipts make it easy).
No guarantees
The platform is provided as-is, free of charge, in the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors. We can't guarantee a driver will claim your order, that deliveries arrive on time or intact, or that the site never hiccups. To the fullest extent Missouri law allows, the platform and its operators aren't liable for what happens during deliveries — participation is at your own risk, the same as any favor between neighbors.
Your information
We store what an order needs: names, phone numbers, addresses, and the order history itself. Live locations exist only during an active delivery and are scrubbed when it ends — that's the BRYKK privacy DNA this runs on. We don't sell data or run ads. Phone numbers are shared only between a customer and the driver who claimed their order.
Keeping it neighborly
Community organizers can remove anyone — customer or driver — at any time, for any reason, to keep the service safe and friendly. Be kind, be patient, and remember the person on the other end lives down the street.
