Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using BRYKK ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

BRYKK is a family safety application that provides real-time location sharing, crash detection, SOS alerts, translation, and related features. The App runs entirely on Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) infrastructure. BRYKK does not operate its own servers.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create a BRYKK account. Users under 18 must have parental consent. By using BRYKK, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. User Accounts

BRYKK uses Apple's iCloud for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Family Groups

You may create or join family groups using a share code. By joining a group, you consent to sharing your location data with other group members. You may leave a group at any time, which immediately removes your location from all members' devices.

6. Subscriptions and Founding Memberships

BRYKK Safe (Free): Core safety features are free and will remain free. No trial period, no expiration.

BRYKK Life (Premium): $9.99/month subscription providing additional features. When one family member subscribes, all members in the group receive premium features. Managed through Apple's App Store or Paddle.

Founding Memberships: One-time purchases providing lifetime premium access. Non-transferable. Valid as long as BRYKK operates. All founding membership purchases are final and non-refundable. Your purchase directly funds the development of BRYKK.

7. Safety Features Disclaimer

BRYKK's crash detection and SOS features are designed to assist in emergencies but are not a substitute for calling 911 directly. Crash detection uses accelerometer data and may not detect all types of accidents. BRYKK does not guarantee emergency response times or outcomes. Always call emergency services directly when possible.

8. Translation Disclaimer

BRYKK's translation features use Apple's on-device translation framework. Translations are provided as-is and may not be perfectly accurate. Medical translations use pre-built terminology but are not certified medical translations. Do not rely solely on BRYKK translations for critical medical communication.

9. Data and Privacy

Your data is stored on Apple's iCloud infrastructure and your device. BRYKK does not operate servers that store your data. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.

10. Prohibited Use

You may not use BRYKK to: track individuals without their consent; stalk, harass, or threaten others; violate any applicable laws; attempt to reverse-engineer the App; or use the App for any purpose other than family safety.

11. Limitation of Liability

BRYKK is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BRYKK and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of BRYKK after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated through the App or email.
